Front axle mostly done except for the shock mounts. Just a coat of primer for now.

Speaking of shocks... I mean STRUTS! The nitrogen regulator should be in tomorrow. I'll have a high pressure hose made at the hydraulic shop and pick up a bottle soon...

Hell yeah man, cant wait to be on the trail in MOAB!

Got the shock hoops and lower tabs on last night. I had all of the full hydro hoses crimped yesterday. I plan on bleeding the full hydro, strip everything down for final painting, and charge the shocks this weekend. This little project has taken quite a bit of my time, but I think it really has turned out quite nice. I'm glad I went full hydro at the same time. Shocks will be set up for about 5 inches of up travel.

Also, I had to take some of my tires/wheels in for work. I had one tire that had a slow leak. Turns out it was a small hole in between the inner, outer most lugs. Discount wouldnt repair so I put my own plug in. On a different tire/wheel, one had a pretty good crack near the bead lip. I didnt want to take any chances and ordered another H2 wheel off ebay and had Discount swap it out. The crack wasnt all the way through yet, but I didnt want to it to blow out on the trail and be up shit creek. I think I will find somebody local that can grind the crack out and weld it up. I'll use it on the bald 40 that I have been toting around for a couple years now.

Got everything completely put together for the first time today. Full hydro is working good. Struts are charged. I took it for a test spin and it feels great. I hate to think I hit the nail on the head with the initial nitrogen charge, but it seems to be spot on. There are a few little tweaks left but it is close to being done. I need to get some more grade 8 hardware and double check everything. Hopefully I can get it to the exhaust shop soon. The obligatory flex shots will be up soon...

Didn't know your u-bolts were a problem. Lock washers? How about a stover lock nut? I had to use one on the upper mount for my upper link. There wasn't enough room to use a regular nut and lock washer.

Stover lock nut - A one-piece hex nut which derives its prevailing torque characteristics from controlled distortion of its top threads from their normal helical form to a more elliptical shape.
Frequently used in farm machinery, plus in the automotive and metalworking industries. Can withstand severe vibration and shock loads. Reusable and can withstand temperatures of up to 450°F.

Should be able to get them at the Lubbock Bolt Bin

Still had some flex left. The tractor we were using couldn't lift the Jeep so we had to improvise. Should I think about limit straps?
